Combination Hair Type

Combination hair is greasy at the roots but dry and sometimes split at the ends. Such repeated abuse often provokes a reaction in sebum secretion at the roots and a partial alteration in the scales, which can no longer fulfil their protective role. The hair ends therefore become dry. Use products that have only a gentle action on the hair. Excessive use of formulations for oily hair and those for dry hair may contribute to the problem. Ideally use a product specially designed for combination hair. If this is not possible try using a shampoo for oily hair and finish by applying a conditioner only from the middle lengths to the ends of the hair.

Combination Hair Type

  • It is the combination of both greasy and dry hair.
  • After shampooing, the hair looks good except for the ends. Use a mild shampoo and condition the hair ends
  • Combination Hair Type is seen more in long hair that has damaged ends.
  • This type of hair is usually oily at the scalp and dry at the ends.
  • Ends look difficult to set smoothly, split and lighter in color than the roots.
